DESCRIPTION

GLSS Yellow Belt Training & Certification is an entry-level course for people new to Lean Six Sigma principles, methodologies, and tools. This course provides foundational process improvement skills more efficiently and more effectively than any other Yellow Belt course. GLSS Yellow Belts are able to complete real Lean Six Sigma projects because our course focuses on real application, also known as Project-Based Learning.

Our Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training will quickly introduce you and your teams to the basic elements of problem solving using Lean Six Sigma so you can easily deliver improvement results.

CERTIFICATION PROCESS

Complete the GLSS Yellow Belt Training by starting a process improvement project after a problem is identified, examining the process where the problem is occurring and measuring its performance, finding and addressing the root cause of the problem, and delivering improvement results by implementing the best solutions and ensuring the process continues to perform well. You’ll have the option to complete a Yellow Belt project alongside your training using Kure. Once you finish your training and assessments, you’ll earn your GLSS Yellow Belt Certification!

COURSE CONTENT
& TIMING

Module 1: Introduction
(15 minutes)
In this Module, you’ll go over the basic skills needed to identify and solve problems so you can improve your daily work.
Module 2: Define Phase
(15 minutes)
The main purpose of the Define Phase is to gain clarity around the process and problem that you intend to improve.
Module 3: Measure Phase
(30 minutes)
In the Measure Phase, you’ll learn how to map your current process and take an investigate tour of the process.
Module 4: Analyze Phase
(15 minutes)
In the Analyze Phase, you’ll determine the root causes to your problem using the 5 Whys technique.
Module 5: Improve Phase
(30 minutes)
In the Improve Phase, you’l learn how to systematically address the problems of clutter and disorganization in the workspace, as well as how to identify and implement the best solutions.
Module 6: Control Phase
(15 minutes)
In the Control Phase, you’ll learn how to sustain the improvements, close your project, and communicate project success.

Yellow Belt Training & Certification only

To ensure the quality of our GLSS (beta-wp.goleansixsigma.com) certification holders, recertification is required every two years. The recertification process consists of retaking the course or submitting a Lean Six Sigma project through Kure. Our new certificates now include a specified expiration date. If your certificate shows no expiration date, your certification will expire two years after the course completion date. To renew your certification, please subscribe to our GLSS Subscription.
